BIO: DR. SHARNELL MUIR, DMD

Dr. Sharnell Muir is the owner of of Kelowna Dentistry By Design, formerly Kelowna Dental Centre, as well as Dimensions Orofacial Digital Imaging. Her associate is Dr. Boyd Cumming, DDS.

Prior to moving to Kelowna , Dr. Muir owned a dental practice in Enderby, B.C. for 11 years and a practice in Langley, B.C. for 5 years.

Born and raised in B.C., Dr. Muir graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at UBC in 1987. Her post-graduate training includes extensive course work at Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dental Studies, where she is now an LVI Fellow, and clinical training courses in Calgary, Detroit and Los Angeles.

Dr. Muir enjoys a general dental practice, which welcomes existing patients of Kelowna Dental Centre, as well as new patients. Her focus is on advanced esthetics, cosmetic dentistry, TMD/TMJ treatment and orthodontics. She also has the pleasure of adding Botox facial esthetics and one visit porcelain restorations.

Past and Current Coursework:

Las Vegas: Attended LVI (Las Vegas Institute) for the full mouth advanced restorative program, the TMD (Tempo Mandibular Disorders) program and the Orthodontic program and has achieved the Fellowship status.

Los Angeles: The Bioblock mini-residency for Orthopedic Orthodontics and Facial Balance.

Calgary: The FORCE ( Faculty for Orthodontic Research and Continuing Education Inc.) Orthodontic curriculum with Dr. Litt .: theory.

Detroit: The FORCE (Faculty for Orthodontic Research and Continuing Education Inc.) Orthodontic Curriculum with Dr. Litt: Practicum.
